Portland will be hosting flu and COVID vaccination clinics for adults in need. The clinics, organized by Portland’s Public Health Division and Northern Light, will take place on October 6th and 17th, and will be available to both insured and uninsured adults while supplies last.
The clinics will specifically cater to individuals who are 19 years of age and older, as there is limited vaccine supply. The cost of vaccinations will vary depending on insurance coverage. On October 6th, the clinic will be held at Portland Public Health Division located at 39 Forest Avenue, running from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. On October 17th, the clinic will be hosted at Portland City Hall in Kippy Richardson Room 24, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
The COVID-19 vaccine being offered at the clinic is a new monovalent version. It is recommended that adults receive an updated vaccine for COVID at least 2 months after receiving the last dose of any COVID-19 vaccine. It is important to note that a primary series is not required to receive the monovalent version at the clinic.
For those who are uninsured, there is currently a walk-in flu clinic available at the Public Health Clinic on Forest Avenue. Walk-in hours are from Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., while supplies last.
