Oracle has introduced new healthcare-specific capabilities to three of its products, focused on financial and supply chain management. These features will be available in Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), and Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain & Manufacturing (SCM). The capabilities include financial consolidation and reporting, procurement, and replenishment planning and recall management.
These enhancements aim to help healthcare organizations consolidate disconnected systems and automate critical processes, while providing the flexibility needed to support new delivery models such as telehealth and home and community-based care. The newly added financial visibility, resilient supply chains, and improved patient care will ultimately aid healthcare providers in delivering efficient, accessible, and equitable healthcare.
Additionally, Oracle has introduced new workforce management capabilities within Oracle Fusion Cloud Human Capital Management (HCM) to address the challenges faced by healthcare organizations due to staffing shortages. The new capabilities, called “Oracle Workforce Scheduling” and “Oracle Workforce Labor Optimization,” provide a single cloud platform that connects business and electronic health record (EHR) data, facilitating scheduling for healthcare organizations.
These advancements in healthcare-specific capabilities leverage advanced technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) to streamline financial and workforce management. With features like AI-enabled staff scheduling and automated inventory tracking for medical recalls, healthcare organizations can optimize operations and improve patient care.
