Hometown Freedom Healthcare Provides Accessible and Affordable Healthcare in Fremont County

Two former athletes, Enedina Vasco and Tara Thayer-Blumenshine, have joined forces to create Hometown Freedom Healthcare, a clinic that aims to offer high-quality healthcare to the residents of Fremont County. After years of working in obstetrics and building a strong friendship, Vasco and Thayer-Blumenshine decided to bring their shared vision to life.
The clinic had a soft opening 15 months ago to assess the local healthcare needs. Now, with the clinic expanding and services growing, Thayer-Blumenshine, Vasco, and new-hire Dawn DuBeau will be seeing patients five days a week starting October 1. Thayer-Blumenshine, a Family Nurse Practitioner and Certified Nurse Midwife, has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and a Master of Science in Nursing. Vasco, also a Family Nurse Practitioner, holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and a Doctor of Nurse Practitioner.
Aside from primary care services, Hometown Freedom Healthcare also provides mental health services, with DuBeau specializing in caring for patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations. The clinic offers a wide range of services, including wellness exams, prenatal care, postpartum care, sports physical exams, DOT physicals, well baby and child exams, women’s health services, hormone replacement therapy, and more.
Hometown Freedom Healthcare operates on a hybrid model, accepting insurance as well as offering direct primary care (DPC) options for uninsured patients. DPC allows patients to take control of their healthcare decisions by working closely with their providers. The clinic currently accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Aetna/Meritain, Cigna, and Medicaid.
Overall, Hometown Freedom Healthcare aims to provide accessible and affordable healthcare, while prioritizing patient-focused care and building positive patient-provider relationships.
