X National Seminar on Hospital / Healthcare Management & Medico Legal Systems

The Symbiosis Center of Health Care (SCHC) has over the past nine years identified key topical issues of importance to the healthcare sector to be addressed during its Annual National Seminar on Hospital / Health Care Management & Medico Legal Systems. The X National Seminar will be hosted at Symbiosis Vishwabhawan from 8th to 11th May, 2008.

The series of three parallel pre-seminar workshops are: IT applications in healthcare sector in association with Syntel, Quality assurance and accreditation in association with Astron Health Care Consultants and management issue in individual practice in association with HELP. The seminar includes presentations and panel discussions on medical devices regulations, hospitality in hospitals, individual sessions on the various drivers of the healthcare industry, etc.

The main seminar includes presentations and panel discussions on medical devices regulations, hospitality in hospitals, individual sessions on the various drivers of the healthcare industry, discussions on various successful healthcare models, health tourism, the Clinical Establishment Act, an interface of the healthcare practitioner and the law amongst others. All the topics have been selected with due attention to their currents relevance and future importance.

In keeping with the academic flavour of the national seminar, SCHC has scheduled a special session on 'Standardising Healthcare Management Education'. The aim of this session is to identify ways and means of standardising healthcare management education. The seminar and the pre-seminar workshops registrations are open to everyone interested in aspects of hospital and healthcare management and law as it relates to healthcare practices and healthcare management academics. Individual practitioners, practicing healthcare managers, lawyers interested in medico-legal issues and students of healthcare management and law stand to benefit and are encouraged to attend the seminar and pre-seminar workshops.. SCHC is concurrently organising the Contact Session for the Certificate Course in Clinical Research (CCCR) at the same campus on 10th & 11th May, 2008.
