AHI Plans Hospital in Orissa

Asian Heart Institute (AHI), Mumbai, recently announced its plans of opening a latest multi specialty hospital in Chandrasekharpur, Orissa. Spread on an area of 1,50,000 square feet, a 300 bed hospital is being built with an investment of Rs 150 crore.

The foundation stone of Asian Hospital and Research Centre (AHRC) has been laid and the Hospital will start functioning from 2010.

The Hospital will provide treatment to various medical specialties such as cardiology, cardio thoracic surgery, orthopedics, urology, endocrinology, dental, dermatology, diabetology, gastroenterology, ENT, geriatrics, haematology, neonatology, nephrology, neurology, obstetrics, gynaecology ophthalmology, urology, paediatrics, physiotherapy, cosmetic surgery, orthopaedic surgery, respiratory medicine, rheumatology , thoracic surgery and several others.

Dr Ramakanta Panda, Vice Chairman and Cardio Vascular Thoracic Surgeon, AHI, said, "Our institute is known for providing world class healthcare service to the patients. With this expansion, we would like to extend our quality healthcare treatment to patients across the East."

The Hospital will offer round-the-clock emergency services to the patients. It will have 12 ultra modern operations theatres, 100 intensive care units, fully equipped modernised pathology services, radiology, imaging services, blood bank, 24hours pharmacy services and cardiac ambulance services with mobile cathlab.
