Fortis to set up Healthcity in Gurgaon

Fortis Healthcare Limited, one of the largest private healthcare companies in India and a Ranbaxy-promoted company, has finalised plans to set up its seven-star multi-super-speciality flagship hospital, Fortis Healthcity. Spread over 10.7 acres, the 10-storeyed Fortis Healthcity will focus on specialties of oncology, trauma, paediatrics, mother and child health (La Femme), cosmetology, neuro sciences, cardiac sciences, genito-urinary diseases and minimal access surgery (day care), besides offering a complete range of multi-speciality services in all disciplines.

The Healthcity will have 700 patient beds, with a built-up area of 13 lakh square feet. The Fortis Group will be investing Rs 500 crore in the project. Shivinder M Singh, CEO & MD, Fortis Healthcare, said, "Fortis Healthcity is going to be our flagship hospital. It is a dream come true for us. We remain committed to our mission of providing people with quality medical care."
