Jalan's Health Unveils its 2nd Centre in Pune

Jalan's Health & Diabetes Care Centre, a leading healthcare centre, providing specialised holistic homeopathic and Ayurvedic treatment for chronic diseases such as obesity, diabetes, hypertension, thyroid, liver problems among others, recently opened its second centre in Pune at Bundgarden Road. This is an additional facility to the existing centre in Pune at Tilak Road.

This new centre, set up with an investment of over Rs 1 crore, is self financed by Jalan's Health & Diabetes Care Centre. It will employ 15 BAMS and BHMS expert doctors who will put in the expertise of their field of specialisation, to decide upon the best course of treatment and suitable medication for every individual patient. Jalan's Health is the only centre that uses equipment like Dexa Scan Machine and ECG Machine to maximise the benefits of the treatments. Manufactured by international firms like GE Healthcare and Philips, these machines are known worldwide for their results.

Furthermore, Jalan's Health & Diabetes Care Centre has robust plans to reach out and serve broader and wider markets across India by establishing more than 15 centres in cities like Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Nagpur, Bangalore and Hyderabad, including two more in Pune by 2010. This growth plan is expected to require funding of about Rs 15 crore and Jalan's Health & Diabetes Care Centre is looking at raising the funds from potential investors, private equity and financial institutions. Further, the management of the centres will either be outsourced as franchisees or will be managed directly by Jalan's Health & Diabetes Care Centre from Pune, depending upon the modalities and the funding options.

GS Jalan, Director, Jalan's Health & Diabetes Care Centre, said, "This new centre, offering solutions across the healthcare space, is an outcome of the growing demand for quality healthcare services in the city."

According to Dr Aparna Kankanala, a Homeopathic consultant at Jalan's Health, general opinion amongst masses is, homeopathic and ayurvedic treatments show effects over time. However, the facts are starkly different as upto 11 kgs can be lost in three weeks time. “At Jalan's, we provide modern diagnostic reports which are integrated along with traditional treatment options resulting in a wonderful combination of great results and zero side effects," she added.
