Both centres of Wockhardt Hospitals, Hyderabad— Wockhardt Heart Centre (LB Nagar) and Kamineni Wockhardt Hospitals (King Koti) have joined in the Child Cardiac Surgery Programme initiated by the Andhra Pradesh (AP) Government.

Under this scheme, for the first time in the country, the Government of AP is funding surgeries for poor children below the age of 12 years suffering from congenital high-end diseases like cardiac ailments etc. Now, all the beneficiaries can avail these services at both the Kamineni Wockhardt Hospitals and the Wockhardt Heart Centre. Said Sudhaker Jadhav, Head-Marketing, Wockhardt Hospitals, Hyderabad, "Wockhardt Hospitals was always looking for an opportunity to provide quality healthcare to the needy. This Programme presents us with just that, and we will do all that we can to collaborate with the Government in saving young hearts."

Under this scheme, private hospitals support the Government by performing high-end surgeries at very low costs. Jadhav further added, "Public Private Partnerships (PPP) are essential to improve the quality of healthcare existing in the country. The Government of AP has taken the first step towards a healthier life for all."
