Transasia’s Uro-dipcheck-240

Users of urine analysers and strips will appreciate this —all along, urine analysis done with urine reagent strips and urine analysers had to be often re-confirmed with wet chemistry tests such as Fouchet's for Bilirubin, Benedict for Glucose and SSA or Acetoacetic acid for protein. This is because in most of the cases, the colour of the urine (due to medication, excess blood, etc) caused false positive reactions on the strips, which was duly reported by the analysers.

Erba's Uro-dipcheck range of analysers and strips are uniquely designed to overcome this problem. The reagent strips are equipped with special calibration pads that absorb the colour of urine and the colour development on the other pads is corrected for this colour—in other words, the system ensures that the colour change of pads is due to the urinary analytes and not due to the colouration of urine.

This and other features such as dual-mode operation, high through put ranging from 240 to 500 tests per hour, 1,000 record system memory, RS 232 serial port connectivity, bi-level liquid stable controls make this range the most complete urine analysis range available. Products available in the range:

Urine analysers—Uro-dipcheck 240 and Uro-dipcheck 500.

Urine strips—Uro-dip 2 VPG (Protein + Glucose), Uro-dip 2 VGK (Glucose + Ketone), Uro-dip 10 A (10-parameter analysis), Uro-dip 11 G (11-parameter analysis with ascorbic acid).

Urine Controls—Ud Trol controls (Level 1 and Level 2).

Transasia’s XE-2100i

With more than 4,500 installations worldwide, Sysmex XE-2100i is "A Step Ahead in Developing the Technology that Counts!" in providing clinical value that comes from technological advances. XE-2100i meets the challenges of laboratories with regards to improved accuracy, productivity and value by providing accurate, state-of-the-art results within shorter turn around time (TAT) and all this is available at reduced labour cost.

Features:

  • Having throughput of 150 samples/hour and offering best turn around time with very few manual reviews makes XE-2100i the world fastest automated haematology analyser.
  • XE-2100i uses fluorescent technology and proprietary fluorescent reagent for accurate and sensitive NRBC counts for as low as 0.1 NRBC/100 WBC, building value for anemia classification and assessing patient response to therapy and prognosis. It automatically corrects the WBC and Lymph counts that give confidence in results without time-consuming manual steps.
  • It offers fluorescent technology with semiconductor laser for reticulocytes and IRF, considered to be Gold Standard to provide the accuracy and sensitivity of results to monitor trends in bone marrow activity.
  • Combination of cytochemical lysing, fluorescent staining and "self-learning" Adaptive Cluster Analysis System offers best separation of WBC populations. XE-2100i also extends automated differential using unique Immature Myeloid Information (IMI) channel to measure abnormal WBCs like immature granulocytes, Haematopoietic Progenitor Cells (HPC) which help correlate with CD34 count.
