Lifecare Medical Centre launches 'Well Woman Clinic'

Lifecare Medical Centre, Mumbai, has recently announced the launch of 'Well Woman Clinic', a speciality clinic for women. The Clinic is targeted at women in urban areas, who are increasingly facing health problems because of the stressful life style they lead.

Dr Vinay Goel, Managing Director, Lifecare Medical Centre said, "The Clinic is completely dedicated and designed to detect and screen common occurring disorders in ladies, so that they can be screened and treated at the earliest. The tests and screening includes important constituents like PAP smear to screen for cervical cancer, pelvic sonography to check for abnormalities in uterus/ovaries etc. Timely diagnosis and treatment are essential to prevent the disorders."

The tests and screenings at the Clinic includes complete blood count (to detect anaemia etc), ESR, urine examination, stool examination, blood group, fasting blood sugar for diabetes, lipid profile for heart (includes total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, VLDL cholesterol, Triglycerides), creatinine for kidney, SGPT for liver, SGOT, GGTP, G6PD, Sr calcium for bones, ECG, chest X-Ray, body fat analysis to check obesity, blood pressure, digital mammography, bone mineral densitometry (DEXA), dental check-up and complete physical examination and check-up by physician.
