The workshop offered free laparoscopic surgeries to needy and deserving patients. All surgeries were followed by panel discussions.Another highlight was the lecture on 'The Anatomy of Success' by Dr Rakesh Sinha, Head, BEAMS, Mumbai. According to Dr Parveen Bhatia, Medical Director of the hospital, "There is a need for the medical fraternity, especially for those in the field of surgery, to continuously update not just themselves but also others in their profession. The kind of technology which is available these days has made things easier in this aspect. But the challenge remains on how quickly we acquire these skills and use it for the benefit of our patients, which is the ultimate goal of any surgeon."
