New Frontiers, New Challenges

Every CUSP has scientific sessions attached to it, which
are innovatively planned to deliver messages in a clear and concise manner
Clinical Ultrasound in Practice, (CUSP) started way back in 1989 is currently
in its tenth year and focuses on the subject of Clinical Ultrasonography. CUSP
has always been successful in attracting a large number of delegates and equipment
manufacturers. The motive behind organising CUSP is to know the requirements
of clinicians, as they are the ones who study the ultrasound reports. We
secure the clinicians expectations that they have from an ultrasound image,
and then transfer the same to the ultrasound professionals, says Dr S
Suresh, Organising Secretary, CUSP 2006.
Every CUSP has scientific sessions attached to it, which are innovatively planned
to deliver messages in a clear and concise manner. This meeting explores new
frontiers and takes up new challenges in diagnostic ultrasound.
The conference is especially beneficial for ultrasound professionals and clinicians
utilising ultrasound technology for patient care.
The Significance
This year, we are concentrating on spreading knowledge
about infant hip problems, as it is very difficult to find out if there is any
issue regarding infants hip. Hence, it is important for doctors to be
able to detect it pretty early, else it may cause difficulties in the later
stage of the babys life, says Dr Suresh. Last year, CUSP saw the
participation of 2,100 delegates. This time too, we are expecting a similar
figure, adds Dr Suresh.
Conference Highlights:
- Lectures by leading experts in the field.
- Interactive case discussions.
- Live workshops.
- Sound bites.
- Debates.
- New technologies - New frontiers.
- Short communication and poster presentations.
