PCI's Initiative In Controlling Nosocomial Infections

In
spite of the advent of new technology in patient and hospital care, nosocomial
or hospital acquired infections (HAI) is a menace in patient care. HAI is responsible
for more mortality than any other form of death worldwide. Incidence of HAI
even in most advanced countries is 5-10 per cent. In developing nations, HAI
is about 25 per cent, which causes very high ICU deaths which is why the World
Health Organisation (WHO) has declared 2006 as the year to create awarness on
nosocomial infections.
Pest Control India Pvt Ltd (PCI) for more than three decades

1) PCI offers Ethylene Oxide Sterilisers in manual, semi-automatic
and automatic models having volume from 56-450 litres capacity, for small nursing

space and surface disinfectant treatment, in operation theatres, cathlabs, ICU's
and waste rooms. The units are manufactured by IGEBA, Germany.
3) Sterifume, is a hasslefree sterilisation service offered
by PCI for germ-free and clean work environment in hospital for elimination
of microorganisms in different set-ups.
4) Air steriliser Medixair TM
is designed, patented and manufactured by Brandenburg
(UK) for reducing the ongoing microbial contamination
in different work places like operation theatres, ICCU's,
isolation rooms, NICU's and others. These can be operated
on 24/7 basis, without the need to evacuate the workers
and patients as is the case with conventional UVC tubes
used in OT's and cathlabs. They work noiselessly with
very minimum power and running costs. Medixair TM
conforms to all international safety and CE norms.
