Speaking on the occasion Dr Shastri said, "Moolchand has yet again demonstrated that it can create world-class facilities in the heart of Delhi. This new centre reflects a paradigm shift for emergency services and is a long overdue addition to emergency services for the capital."

The cost incurred for setting up the Centre is over Rs 1 crore, which has been designed by international experts keeping in mind patients' needs and to meet their emergency wish list: quick and easy access, specialised and dedicated emergency physicians and staff, super-specialist backup on call and all essential back-up facilities like diagnostics, intensive care, blood bank, emergency operation theatre and advanced cardiac life support ambulance service.
