5th & 6th Sysmex Transasia International Scientific Seminars 2006

Sysmex Transasia Bio-Medicals Pvt Ltd hosted their 5th &
6th Sysmex Transasia International Scientific Seminar in two major cities -
Delhi and Mumbai recently. A leader in the haematology segment, Sysmex Transasia
has been conducting international and regional seminars to constantly update
customers with the latest trends and technologies in haematology. The seminars
saw more than 1,000 renowned pathologists and doctors participating from all
over the country.
The scientific seminars were addressed by Hisashi Ietsugu, President & CEO
Sysmex Corporation, Japan; Suresh Vazirani, Director, Sysmex-Transasia Bio-Medicals
Pvt Ltd; celebrated international speakers like Prof Samuel Machin, London (Developments
with Blood Cell Counters and Assessment of Anaemia), Dr Pranav Sinha, Austria,
(Diagnostic Laboratories in Emergent India: Lessons from Europe) and Keiji Fujimoto,
Japan, (The Traceability and Uncertainty in Clinical Laboratory).
Dr RA Mashelka, FRS Director General CSIR & Secretary, Government of India for the Department
of Scientific & Industrial Research, was the Chief Guest at New Delhi while
Dr NA Kshirsagar, Dean and Professor & Head for the Department of Clinical
Pharmacology at Mumbai’s KEM Hospital was the Chief Guest for this occasion
in Mumbai.
These sessions were chaired by some renowned Indian doctors like
Dr Renu Saxena, Dr Navin Dang, Dr Rakesh Sharma, Dr Sudipta Roy, Dr M Quadri,
Dr Sanjay Malhotra in Delhi; and Dr VP Antia, Dr Phadke, Dr Golwilkar, Dr Swati
Pai, Dr Shehnaz Khodaiji and Dr Sharat Damodar in Mumbai. The lectures were followed
by Q&A sessions, where the topics were left open for discussion wherein the
crowd interacted enthusiastically. The seminars were then followed by the 3,000th
Sysmex Installation Celebrations.
