Leader Or Manager?

We asked Vishal Bali, one of the youngest CEOs in healthcare industry, which role is more challenging to play: that of a successful leader or a manager. “From a successful leader emerges a good manager. And one cannot be a good manager unless he takes pride in his employees and sends out positive energy,” he tells us.

Working with the Wockhardt Hospitals for the last 16 years, having joined as a trainee, Bali’s life is a book on exemplary success. “I am out of home 18 days a month because of my work. I have never ever given less than 100 per cent,” reveals Bali. The visionary CEO of Wockhardt Hospitals believes that hard work and having long-term goals are the keys to success. To know more about this charismatic and dynamic leader, his likes and dislikes, his inspiration, personal life, regrets, beliefs and principle and his amazing success story- read the July issue of our mazagine.
