First Indian to Participate In CCJR

Orthopaedic surgeon of Breach Candy Hospital, Dr Arun Mullaji recently had the honour of participating as a guest speaker at the 7th annual 'Current Concepts in Joint Replacement Spring 2006' conference in Las Vegas, USA. There he shared his experience with over 100 minimally invasive unicompartmental knee resurfacing operations and described technique and results of correcting severe varus deformity (Bowed Knees). He is the first Asian joint replacement surgeon to be invited to speak at this esteemed symposium on arthroplasty. "Current Concepts in Joint Replacement (CCJR) is the leading conference for hip, knee and shoulder replacement. The symposium allows surgeons to present new data, debate topics and demonstrate new techniques via live surgery," he says. The symposium was attended by over 1,000 surgeons from over 40 countries.
