Passing On The Baton
After spearheading Centre for Enquiry into Health and Allied Themes (CEHAT) for six-long years as the co-ordinator, which took the NGO from strength to strength, Ravi Duggal had recently opted out of his demanding job to work as an independent researcher. His ties with CEHAT would be as a consultant now. He spoke to Rita Dutta about his years in CEHAT, the reasons for leaving his current position and his plans ahead.

Donning A New Mantle
Dr Bipin Pandit has recently assumed the position of the President of the Association of Medical Consultants (AMC), an apex body of 5, 500 medical consultants from different specialities. A gynaecologist by profession, Dr Pandit took the reins from Dr Suresh Rao. This is his second term; the earlier was in 2003.

Head of the Ob-Gynaec Dept of Rajawadi Hospital, Mumbai, Dr Prakash Trivedi has recently bagged the prestigious FOGSI Scientific Corion Award in the senior category for the best research work for his innovative design and technique used for female urinary leak.
