Trivitron Launches An MRI System
EHM News Bureau - Mumbai
Neusoft Digital Medical System has successfully launched
NAM-P023A- 0.23 Tesla magnetic resonance imaging system (MRI) through
its associates M/S Trivitron in India. Trivitron has installed this flagship
product at M S Ramaiah Medical College and Hospital in Bangalore.
The NAM-P023A is currently the most compact C-shaped
permanent magnet that meets routine clinical requirements. Optimised components
integrate innovative high field technology and simplify workflows in hospitals
and private practices. NAM-P023A Provides excellent image quality and high diagnostic
certainty in a cost-effective package said A B Sivasankar, General Manager
of Trivitron Imaging Division.
With
a diameter of only 140 centimetres, the magnet in the NAM-P023A is one of the
most compact in its class. System advantages include high field technology and
excellent image quality. In addition, the system is open on four sides. The
side entry to the unit used for all examinations (except those for
the head and neck) means the patient has a clear view in all directions. The
patient table moves two dimensionally, ensuring that the region of interest
is always at the centre of the magnet to obtain optimum image quality. The C-shaped
design simplifies the examination for both the patients and hospital staff.
Optimal access and easy examinations are possible even for obese patients.
The system is easy to operate, standardised software from
Neusoft. Use of higher slew rate of 47mt/m/sec reduce our scan time by half.
Standard configuration of NAM-P023A includes optimised protocols for all routine
examination from Head to Toe. The high field technology enables the abdominal
imaging for patients with out breathing. The high field technology is also used
in the NAM-P023A for coils and RF channels The use of QD coils enhance the signal
by 40 per cent and also enables faster examination. NAM-P023A comes along with
seven standard coils which include breast coil in it. For the patient who is
going for conservative breast surgery, MRI is a modality of choice to define
the involvement of lesion.
