Transasia Bags National Award For Commercialisation Of Indian Technology

Transasia Bio-Medicals Ltd, a leading company in the Bio - Technology and In Vitro Diagnostic Industry, was awarded the prestigious National Award for Commercialisation of Indian Technology. The award was presented by Dr R A Mashelkar, Secretary, Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Government of India to TRANSASIA for the phenomenal success of a truly high-tech lifesaving product - ERBA XL300/600.

ERBA XL300/600, is a Biochemistry analyzer, the only product of its kind manufactured by a company in Asia, except Japan. It is marketed and exported to 50 countries around the globe including France, Italy, Turkey, South Korea and China. Transasia, with a turnover of nearly Rs 100 crores, is a leader in the diagnostic industry.

The current year has already seen exports surge from Rs17.5 crores in the last financial year to Rs 20 crores until October 2005. The company expects to achieve export revenues to the tune of Rs 40 crores by end of current financial year, a growth of nearly 228 per cent.
