Wockhardt Hospitals launches vascular diseases centre

EHM News Bureau - Mumbai

A team of doctors of Wockhardt Vascular
Disease Centre

Wockhardt Hospitals has recently launched Wockhardt Center for Vascular Diseases and Interventional Radiology for patients suffering from vascular diseases like varicose veins and aneurysms. The centre also offers treatment for Diabetic Foot, non-surgical treatment for fibroid and peripheral vascular disease (PVD), and strokes.

Even as peripheral vascular disease (PVD) in the Indian populace is rising alarmingly, specially in diabetics, there is very low awareness about PVD among the common man and the medical fraternity.

This results in unnecessary amputation of limbs. The Wockhardt Centre for Vascular Disease and Interventional Radiology will provide the much needed awareness and services for early diagnosis and proper management of these diseases.

The team of consultants providing their knowledge and expertise to the center are interventional radiologists Dr Vimal Someshwar, Dr Shaji Marar, vascular surgeons - Dr Paresh Pai and Dr Pankaj Patel, and diabetic foot surgeon Dr Arun Bal. Dr Rajat Bhargava and Dr Anuradha Bhangale will lend their support of diagnosis through Doppler, CT and MRI.
