Nephrologists cry foul over Govt’s circular on kidney transplant
Now, permission for every unrelated kidney transplant would entail the presence of a nephrologist along with donor and recipient in front of the authorisation committee of the Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER), the proceedings of which are to be video recorded.

Health insurance data repository by April 06’
The long felt need for a data repository to enable pricing of health insurance products is now being addressed under the aegis of the Tariff Advisory Committee (TAC). Work towards building a data repository for health insurance started six months ago and so far all the 25 TPAs across the country have submitted data on policy details, claims settlement and related hospital information. Data from the insurers will be added to the repository at a later stage.
