Dr Agarwal Hospital installs endothelial cell microscope

Dr Agarwal group of eye hospitals has upgraded their eye treatment facilities in Bangalore, recently. It has installed endothelial cell microscope (ECM) in Hosur Road hospital for actively pursuing stem cell research and has achieved some promising results.

It was inaugurated by Karnataka governor T N Chaturvedi at a function held in the hospital recently. National award winner, Kannada actress Tara and some renowned doctors in the city were honoured by him.

Dr J Agarwal, chairman of the hospital, delivered the inaugural address. The doctors who were honoured were Dr Dhananjay, head, department of obstetrics and gynaecology, Dr Sunanda Kulkarni, Bowring Hospital, and Dr Hema Diwakar, Diwakar Hospital. Dr Sunita Agarwal is currently heading the stem cell research programme of the hospital. Agarwal hospital group also has one more facility at Langford town in Bangalore. It has presence in most of the southern states, either as independent units or through franchisees. Expansion plans of the hospital are also in the offing.
