Manipal Hospital opens primary health clinic

Manipal Hospital forayed into primary healthcare with the launch of its first “Manipal Clinic” at Jayanagar in Bangalore. With the opening of Manipal Clinic at Jayanagar, Manipal Health System will be offering integrated healthcare delivery model in Bangalore with primary health clinics, secondary care hospital and tertiary care referral centre. Manipal Health System already has a tertiary care referral centre on Airport Road and the secondary care Manipal Northside Hospital at Malleshwaram.

The hospital plans to soon expand the Manipal Clinics to more places in Bangalore. R Basil, CEO, Manipal Health System said, “In recent years, our industry has seen a paradigm shift to customer driven healthcare delivery models. Our vision at Manipal is to provide affordable healthcare to everyone with compassion.”

The Clinic provides consultations in 22 specialties and comprehensive disease management programmes for chronic ailments. It offers health check-ups including comprehensive check-up, pre-insurance, pre-employment, women and preventive cardiac check up.

The clinic has a 24-hour pharmacy, a comprehensive dental unit and also provides primary diagnostic services like lung function test, audiometry, ECG, X-Ray, ultrasound, tread mill test, doppler test and echocardiography. The laboratory services comprise biochemistry, pathology, haematology, microbiology, histopathology, serology, immunology and hormone testing. It will also serves as a collection centre for the referral laboratory at Manipal Hospital. “The clinic has a warm ambience, cheerful doctors, and well trained staff to deliver personalised services,” added Basil.
