‘FISH is at the forefront of molecular diagnostics and molecular management of diseases’
Dr Pratibha S Amare Kadam is currently head, cancer cytogenetics Laboratory (Research and Genetics Services), Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH). A doctorate in applied biology, she joined TMH as scientific officer in medical oncology department in 1987 and set up the cancer cytogenetics laboratory with the initiation of various research programs in 1987. In an interview with Shardul Nautiyal, she spoke on issues, challenges and prospects surrounding the field of molecular cytogenetics.
