Build ART clinics and satellite centres in rural areas: Experts
Considering the fact that rural areas, home to 70 per cent of the country's population, do not have functional primary healthcare centres let alone infertility clinics, patients suffering from infertility, have to travel all the way towards cities for treatment.
Experts rue ministry's decision
The Union health ministry's decision of inviting four big medical schools from the US to impart training in techniques of public health management to Indian healthcare professionals is not welcomed by experts from the medical fraternity who feel that instead of taking help from abroad, we should find solutions to our problems based on our systems.

‘Availability of products is a major impediment for neuro radiologists’

Quality

Facility management - The way forward
What is the ultimate goal of any quality management system in healthcare? Is it merely meeting the accreditation criteria? To me ‘quality’ is delivering the right cure and care, at the right time, to the right person, at the right cost so to ensure patient satisfaction as well as self-satisfaction. In other terms, while treating each person one should leave no stone unturned.

Legalities

Non-joinder of treating doctor is hospital’s liability
Quite often, due to ignorance, the complainant fails to incorporate the concerned doctor as a party to the suit . Will such suit fail merely due to non-joinder of the doctor?
