Cancer and HIV drugs to be under strict price monitoring
While the Sandhu Committee has, in its Interim Report, made recommendations on controlling the retailer trade margins, the Committee is finding it tough to evolve an objective criteria to bring under price control such essential drugs as the anti-HIV or anti-cancer medicines.

Rofecoxib withdrawal fine, ground reality different
It is more than a month since the DCGI announced the withdrawal of the arthritis drug rofecoxib on October 12, 2004, but as yet there are is no official notification, nor communications to this effect from companies, nor any processes initiated by any of the players in the market.
