Fortis launches multi-speciality hospital

Fortis Healthcare Limited, a Ranbaxy promoter group company, inaugurated a state of the art multi-speciality tertiary care hospital, with super speciality in orthopedics and neuro surgery in NCR at Noida recently. Fortis Hospital Noida also offers specialised care in oncology, trauma care, gastro-intestinal diseases, renal sciences, obstetrics and gynaecology and a host of other medical specialties.

Built with an investment of Rs 100 crores, Fortis Hospital, Noida is spread over 2,50,000 sq ft and is one of the most sophisticated healthcare centre in the South - East Asian region.

Union minister of defence Pranab Mukherjee dedicated the hospital to the nation. Union minister of health Dr A Ramadoss was the guest of honour. The 350 bed hospital has eight state of the art operation theatres, with laminar flow in OT to eliminate chances of infection, specialised mizuho operating table for neurosurgery. It has 34 ICU beds and imported state-of-the-art equipment.

Pranab Mukherjee said, “Healthcare is one of the most critical components for growth and development in any country. India needs world-class healthcare establishments and the role of private hospitals like this will only enhance our capability in delivering healthcare to the masses.”

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Ramadoss said, “Our Government has a serious commitment of raising the healthcare standards in India and make it accessible to every corner of the country. I am sure that the public and private sector together can make a big difference in providing better healthcare to the people of the country.”

Speaking at the launch, Harpal Singh, chairman, Fortis Healthcare Limited said, “Fortis Hospital, Noida is an integral part of the Fortis vision of bringing world-class healthcare within easy reach of the people.”
