RespSense

Typically in ambulances and in general wards the patients respiratory status is valued manually visually and/or by using pulse oximetry. RespSense offers the possibility to use capnometry on both intubated and spontaneously breathing patients in a non-invasive and cost effective way.

The RespSense monitor is a lightweight portable battery operated instrument that measures and displays Carbon dioxide in expired air ETCO2, respiration rate and capnogram. It has trend function for better diagnosis. It is intended to be used for continuous monitoring in general wards, for post operative care, during transportation within hospitals, in ambulances and in other emergency situations where the need for an early warning system is required.

RespSense has a clear backlit screen and visual and audible alarm. The visual alarm, a blinking display, makes this monitor ideal for use even in noisy environments where it is difficult to hear an audible alarm. The distinct display also serves as a user-friendly touch panel where all settings and adjustments are made and as well as shows battery status and fault messages.

RespSense can run on battery for 6-10 hours, a great advantage as it can be used on long transports without being plugged in.
