‘Misdiagnosis of PD is high during early stages’
Because there is no biological marker of Parkinson’s Disease (PD), the accurate diagnosis of PD during life relies exclusively on clinical signs.

‘More institutes need to conduct research in Parkinson’s Disease’
It’s the dreaded disease that has affected stalwarts like Mohammad Ali, Adolf Hitler and Pope John II. With increase in life expectany, by the year 2010 there will be around 9.3 lakh victims of Parkinson’s Disease (PD) in India, warns Dr B S Singhal, founder of the Parkinson Disease and Movement Disorder Society (PDMDA).
