76 per cent private abortion centres are unregistered: Study
A comprehensive study on abortion facilities covering six states (Maharashtra, Kerala, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madya Pradesh and Mizoram) conducted by the NGOs-Centre for Enquiry into Health and Allied Themes (CEHAT) and Healthwatch has shockingly revealed that only 24 per cent of the private abortion centres are registered under the Medical Termination of Preganancy (MTP) Act, 1971.
