IAOH felicitates Mumbai police for managing tension-filled jobs

EHM News Bureau, Mumbai

Even after the multi-crore Telgi Scam has shown how corruption has seeped into the police force, there is no reason that they should not be felicitated for managing their highly stressful job. The Indian Association of Occupation Health (IAOH), an organisation formed to make workplace healthy, safe and environmentally acceptable, just did that by felicitating Ahmad Javed, Jt Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) along with his police force for effectively managing their tension filled jobs.

Of the five tension-filled jobs surveyed by the IAOH, Mumbai police was nominated for being the best in managing tension filled jobs.

The representatives were felicitated by Dr T Rajgopal, president, IAOH and his team of stress experts. Dr T Rajgopal, president, IAOH, said, “The city of Mumbai has the highest level of tension compared to other metros in the country. All the five jobs short-listed by IAOH are tension filled. However, considering the scope of work and the criticality of operations of the police force in the light of the increasing crime rate in the city, IAOH has nominated the Mumbai police as the best managed tension filled public service department.” The survey, commissioned by Lever Ayush, was in light of the increasing stress level in the city.
