6th National Conference of Indian Society for Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery
Date: 18 and 19 October, 2003
Venue: Chowksi Auditorium, 2nd Floor,
Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai.

Currently, stereotactic surgery constitutes an essential component of neurosurgery. The development of this branch has been phenomenal over the last decade. A number of centres have a stereotaxy apparatus and are regularly involved in stereostactic surgery. Stereotaxy is now used used on a regular basis for epilepsy, functional, movement disorders and pain. Sterotaxic procedures are now incorporated in use of focused and fractioned radio therapy. No neurosurgery centre can now claim to be complete without the facility of stereotaxy.

The 6th national conference of Indian Society of Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery will provide an opportunity for our Indian colleagues to present their experience in this field and learn from each other. In addition, a host of international experts will participate in the proceedings. Prof Tipu Aziz from England, who holds the largest experiences in this field has consented to be one of our guests.
