Mumbai gets a diabetes specialty clinic

The Centre for Diabetes Control and Research (CDCR), a diabetes specialty clinic and nursing home of the BELLE VUE group of hospitals was recently inaugurated in Mumbai. CDCR will offer comprehensive personalised diabetic check up plans, foot care clinics, geriatric clinics, eye clinics, obesity clinics and various other facilities.

The team of experts have diabetologists kidney specialists, diabetic foot surgeons, eye specialists and dieticians. Screening, prevention and management will be undertaken utilisng the protocols laid down by the American Heart Association, American Diabetic Association and National Cholesterol Education Program Adult Treatment Panel3. Says Dr Rajiv Kovil, consultant diabetologist, “The concept of providing indoor/outdoor comprehensive diabetes speciality care which is affordable to the people is the objective of CDCR.”
