Sushruta Research Hospital to set up new hospital

Considering the need for quality care, the Sushruta Medical Aid and Research Hospital Ltd, which established the 160-bed multi speciality Bangalore Hospital, is planning to set up a 50 bed hospital in the north western part of the city. Though the new hospital will not extensively be a multi speciality like Bangalore Hospital, it is expected to have certain common specialities.

The Bangalore Hospital will be the referral hospital for the new hospital planned at an outlay of Rs 8 crores. Bangalore Hospital is currently undergoing second phase of expansion with an investment of Rs 3 crores. The expansion and upgradation includes modernisation of many of its utilities and extensive computerisation to provide more efficient services, informed Dr K S Shekar, Managing Director.
