in India. Friendz Events & Promotions Pvt Ltd. an
event management company specialized in organizing exhibitions,
seminars, symposia, etc. is slated to put up one of
the largest International Medical & Surgical Exhibitions
titled “infraMedica” from August 28 - 30,
2003. The exhibitors will be taking part from nearly
30 countries, including India, in an area of approximately.
5000 square metres at Pragati Maidan, India’s prime
exhibition venue. Concurrently, a Business Seminar related
to the event is scheduled to be held at Hotel Le Meridien,
New Delhi.

manufacturing medical infrastructure equipment as well
as eminent doctors are expected to participate in the
Business Seminar. The most prominent feature of the
Seminar will be corporate presentations from multi-national
companies of repute. Besides buyer-seller meets, there
will be an investiture ceremony where exhibitors will

of judges for this purpose will consist of learned people
drawn from cinema, theatre, electronic and print media,
etc. The event is conceptualized for Creating Infrastructure

care.
With 2,460 inhabitants per doctor in India and 20 beds
per 100,000 people in urban India against the world
average of 1200 beds, the infrastructure is not adequate
enough to accommodate the staggering number of patients
in India. This inadequacy in India offers a promising
scope for expansion in infrastructure for health care
services. Medical, surgical and diagnostic equipment
manufacturers, multi-national pharmaceutical manufacturing
companies will be taking part in India’s historic
medical exhibition.
