Bion to tie up with overseas partners to improve its reach

Vijaya K - Bangalore

In a bid to strengthen its market reach, Bion Enterprise Software Technologies (BEST), a subsidiary of the Bangalore-based Bion Computers P Ltd is in an advanced stage of talks for marketing alliance with a couple of overseas partners and over 15 in the domestic market to cater to the growing healthcare market worldwide.

The company, which has so far been focussing on the product development, is in the process of finalizing a business partner in the US and Middle East to expand the market reach. BEST has developed B-TREAT, an Integrated Hospital Information Management System and a Windows-based software, which is flexible and modular in nature thus giving ample scope for upgrading, diversifying and customizing according to the size and requirement of each hospital. “B-Treat is a technology driven and ready to implement software solution, developed following the international standards and is a proven and time-tested product,” says Mukund Mishrikoti, vice president, sales and marketing. With modules like patient management, lab and investigation, pharmacy, EMR (Electronic Medical Records) case tool, HR and payroll with optional biometric interface, blood bank, in vivo lab and radiology, stores, purchase and inventory, catering and dietary management, house keeping, laundry and linen, maintenance and estate services, B-TREAT caters to the entire gamut of hospital management. B-TREAT has been designed and developed in such a way that even large hospitals can implement the products in a couple of months, by virtue of being an out of the Box solution, which can be customized to a large extent to suit the requirements of each hospital.

“Plans are a foot to scout for more value added partners and resellers who have the necessary domain coupled with enterprise software experience even in the domestic market to cater to the government and corporate hospitals,” adds Mukund. BION with its single-minded focus on the healthcare industry for the past 7 years sees vast potential both in the domestic and international market. Some of BION’s customers include SDS Tuberculosis and Rajiv Gandhi Chest Hospital, Victoria, Vani Vilas, Minto, Bowring, Railway Hospital, Mediscope, Institute of Spech and Hearing etc, in the domestic market and a 1300 bedded, multi facility Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital in Maldives.
