The twenty third annual conference of Maharashtra Association
of Pathologists and Microbiologists is being held at
Armed forces Medical College from 27 to 29 September
2002.
Lt Gen V D Tiwari, a renowned skin specialist and commandant
of AFMC will inaugurate the pre-conference CME on dermatopathology
on 27, September 2002. Dr J S Kaeda from Hammersmith
Hospital, London will deliver lectures on latest molecular
techniques of diagnosis of blood cancers.
A session on Aids covering the role of pathologist to
community regarding the Aids pandemic will be discussed
by Dr P Salil of NACO, Col S Satyanarayana and Col Zile
singh of AFMC, said Gp Capt H Subramanya, organising
secretary. Scientific exhibition will be inaugurated
by Lt Gen J R Bhardwaj, AVSM, VSM, and Deputy Director
General of Armed forces. Lt Gen A K Lalir, VSM will
be the chief guest and will inaugurate the conference
on 28 September 2002. Around 500 delegates from Maharashtra
and adjoining states of Goa, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh
will be participating.
