Vital View 2.4
Central stationThe VitalView 2.4 central station is the ideal solution for hospitals of all sizes, communicating with Criticare bedside monitors and patient-borne multiple parameter telemetry devices for continuous, comprehensive vital signs monitoring. Waveform and numeric data are displayed in real time, with simultaneous display of up to 16 waveforms. ECG events, graphical and tabular trends are stored automatically, with clinical notes easily added. Alarms, displayed alerts, and the optional RemoteView Paging System provides immediate notification of Critical changes in patient status.

The RemoteView Alert Paging System is a medical alert paging system optionally integrated into CSI’s VitalView Central Station. The new paging system utilizes the Spectrum24 wireless LAN from Symbol Technologies (Huntsville, New York). The RemoteView system provides two-way communication between the VitalView Central Station and a caregiver’s pager, conveying medical alerts originating at CSI’s patient monitors. The two-way communication feature permits verification that the caregiver has received the page. Besides covering the “rare instance” when a page isn’t received, RemoteView notifies the system if the caregiver fails to read a page or chooses to decline a page. Upon detection of an alert situation (alarm or informational) by the VitalView, the central station technician is given the option to alert a single patient caregiver or a group of caregivers. The information sent to the pager includes patient identification, current time, alert condition, and vital signs data. Additionally, the system gives the hospital the ability to input and send custom messages entered by the central station technician. This feature enables increased efficiency of the hospital staff. The latest paging capability given to CSI’s VitalView Central Station is an Event Paging System. Event Paging System for VitalView Central Station Advanced wireless 2.4 GHz system allows VitalView Central Station to immediately transmit patient monitoring alarm conditions to a pager or group of pagers without user interaction. Also includes two-way communication allowing acknowledgment of the paged alert. Conveniently operates on the same antennae structure as CSI’s wireless monitors, eliminating the cost and clutter of a parallel installation required by conventional paging systems. Rehab option for VitalView allows advanced monitoring and documentation.

The VitalView Rehab software option allows up to eight patients to be operating in rehab sessions at one time. Once admitted and placed on CSI’s MPT system, the Rehab VitalView allows patients to “log in and out” of exercise sessions by themselves. The large, easy-to-understand icons allow patients to proceed at their own pace-all while being monitored for ECG, NIBP, and SpO2. Complete hardcopy documentation of each session may be printed at the end of the sessions. Patients may be pre-admitted for ease of operation and to maximize staff time. Up to 1,000 patient sessions may be stored and later recalled for sequential review.
