Dr
A C Sreeram was recently elected as president of the Indian
Medical Association (IMA)-Bangalore Chapter. With more than
three decades of service in this field, he has been associated
with the Bowring Hospital and St Martha’s Hospital in Bangalore.
Currently he is heading the Mallige Medical Centre, a 75-bed
multispeciality healthcare institute in Bangalore. He spoke
to Vijaya K on the need to uphold professional skills of doctors
and IMA’s role in this regard.
A
multi-disciplinary centre for quality care
Sagar Apollo Hospital, the 250 bed multi-speciality hospital
is another venture in healthcare in Bangalore. The Sagar Group,

to have another super-speciality by ’06
Bangalore
is soon to get another super-speciality, multidisciplinary
neurosurgical institute called Center for Neurosurgery. The
proposed 200-bed hospital will be built at an estimated cost
of US $ 20 m (Rs 100 crore) on a sprawling 12 acres of land
at the vicinity of the international airport.
