specialists and the mode of treatment and care for them differs
from that of adults. To cater exclusively to the healthcare
needs of new borns and children below the age of 16, Rainbow
Childrens Hospital was set up at Hyderabad in 1999.

Andhra
Pradesh, with a favourable investment climate and good infrastructure
in the form of biotech park and trained manpower, is expected
to have a share of 40 per cent in the total production of
drugs and pharmaceuticals in the country by 2010, according
to a projection made by the Federation of Indian Chambers
of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).

Raj Dahiya, a PGI Graduate working in the USA has discovered
new ways to treat prostate cancer. His research was published
in the Journal of National Cancer Institutes on March five
and then NIH press (Washington DC, US government) released
the discovery to the news media of the USA, a PGI press release
said here recently.
