PG course in diabetology in the offing
UNI - Chennai
Madras Diabetic Research Foundation (MDRF) in collaboration
with the American Diabetes Association (ADA) is introducing
a post-graduate course in September 2002 in diabetology to
equip the medical fraternity with the latest breakthroughs
to treat diabetes. The course would feature lectures, expert
sessions and panel discussions on the latest developments
in the field.
Accoridng to Dr V Mohan, director-MDRF, the thrust of the
Foundation is to conduct scientific research in fields like
needle therapy, bloodless blood glucose testing, newer tablets
and pancreas and islets transplants to cure diabetes.
