FHI becomes fully operational

Fortis Healthcare Ltd has announced that its first venture, Fortis Heart Institute (FHI) is now fully operational. The hospital has so far done over 300 cardiac procedures and has also performed a full range of cases.

The Institute draws its standards, procedures and clinical protocols from Massachussetts General Hospital and Brigham & Woman’s hospital which are ranked amongst the top five Cardiac hospitals in the United States of America. It is also affiliated to the Partners Healthcare systems, which comprises the leading teaching hospitals of the Harvard Medical School.

Speaking on the occasion, Malvinder Mohan Singh, director and promoter, Fortis Healthcare Ltd said, “Our objective at Fortis Healthcare has been to provide international standards at prices affordable by Indians. I am glad to say Fortis Heart is living up to that commitment.”

The hospital is arrayed with state-of-the-art equipment like fully digital light speed plus spiral CT Scan, the dual head Gamma Camera, ICONOS 200, the Stratus CS, the first path breaking Innova Cath Lab and Laminar Flow OTs.

Besides cardiac care, the hospital also provides 16 specialities at the multi-speciality medical centre supporting treatment for related diseases like nephrology, neurology, diabetes, dental, orthopedics, paediatric and others.
