‘Lifeline Express’ achieves new world record: Sahay
PTI - Gorela (Chhattisgarh)

Chhattisgarh governor Dinesh Nandan Sahay has said that ‘Lifeline Express’ has achieved a new world record by operating on nearly 2000 patients in a single health camp.

Speaking at the concluding function of the camp held in the Bilaspur district recently, Sahay said that besides achieving this record, it is equally important for the Mumbai-based Impact India Foundation, who organised the health camp, for bringing a smile on the faces of poor people who continued to be left underprivileged for quite a long time.

The governor also praised the organisers for conducting health camps in under-developed areas and providing latest healthcare services with the help of sophisticated surgical instruments.

President of Impact India Foundation, A H Tobacowala said 50,000 operations had been conducted and over three lakh patients were checked up in the ‘Lifeline Express’ throughout the country since 1991 but Gorela camp broke all the previous records.
