By a correspondent

MoU aims at creating replicable forecasting models in the areas of public health and agriculture on India and abroad

Talks to install the Heuristic Engine(HE), a tool for forecasting epidemics, to predict outbreak of agricultural pests and diseases was held between Innareddy Computer Software Associates (India) Ltd., a city based software development company with the government of Andhra Pradesh here recently. The dialogue is likely to result in the establishment of a Pest Disease Information Centre(PDIS) with the technical support of Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT). According to an ICSA release, the company has signed a MoU with the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT) to enable the institute to make use of the software for the prediction of the outbreak of vector-borne diseases. The MoU is to make IICT play a key role in establishing PDIS, which is an important parameter in generating an advanced alarming system to reduce the pest infestation. It aims at creating replicable forecasting models in the areas of public health and agriculture on India and abroad. HE is based on N-Dimentional Numeric Space and Numeric Sequence Strands and has the capability to attain more than 90 per cent accuracy levels.
