Metrolab
2100
Clinical analyzer
Metrolab
2100 is a multiparametric clinical analyser for clinical chemistry,
immunoassays and coagulation. It boasts of a totally automated
operation.
Metrolab 2100 is a unique low cost instrument that operates
with direct reading in reaction cups (no microcell flow system.
It is two trays device wherein one is for sample and reagents
and the other for reaction cups.
Features:
+ Optimised random batch: The instrument optimises time by
selecting appropriate combinations between samples and reagents.
+ All operations are programmed and launched from a standard
extended computer keyboard, helped by a mouse. The operation
is very simple and straightforward.
+ Operates upto 18 tests per sample. Upto 99 different reagent
combinations (trays) can be programmed. Five profiles can
be included in each tray.
+ Colour and End point: Automatic dilution when measured concentration
exceeds linear limit. Also, warning on high reagent absorbaces
is provided.
+ Optics: Double beam arrangement compensates any variation
in lamp and filters or dust accumulation; direct reading in
reaction cups; bichromatic readings improve accuracy in trubid
and coloured samples.
+ Hydraulic systems: System includes a single dilutor that
delivers sample and reagents in steps of 0.5 ul. Uptake is
made by a needle provided with a lever sensor. All tubings
are made of biological PTFE that minimises contamination.
Reagents are preheated in a non-metallic system before delivery
into the reaction cup. Air gaps provide separation between
reagent and samples.

Plastic tubes
For better test results The present practice of blood collection
for complete blood count is to collect blood in 5 ml glass
vials. The washing of vials in many laboratories is improper
resulting in residual dirt in the vials. This can hamper the
test results.
Perfect Reagents and Biologicals have launched plastic tubes
instead of glass vials. In case of haematology tests, currently
cell counters are used widely. The dipotassium EDTA salt employed
in tests quickly mixes with the blood as compared to disodium
EDTA. This company has dipotassium EDTA plastic tubes especially
to serve this purpose.
Features:
+ Particle free dipotassium EDTA solution available.
+ Exact quantity solution of dipotassium EDTA that prevents
clotting of blood sample or clumping of blood cells.
+ Tubes are transparent like glass test tubes.
+ Tubes are light weight and leak proof.
+ Less shaking of samples as compared to glass tubes.
+ Every tube has a marking at 2.5 ml level.
+ Economical.
+ Tubes can be centrifuged.
+ We have packed 100 tubes in such a fashion that after collection
of blood sample the box itself works as a tube holder stand.
+ Also available are tubes for blood glucose tests, i.e. oxalate-flouride
tubes and plain tubes for serum collection.
